Session Abstract
What should we really be looking for during a classroom observation? How can we move beyond subjective "gut feelings" to ensure classroom visits drive measurable growth for both the observer and the teacher?
This one-day TEDSIG local event focuses on turning classroom observations into evidence-based, growth-oriented professional experiences. Combining expert input with collaborative group work, participants will examine key principles of impactful observation, explore criteria rooted in pedagogical research, and practice analyzing classroom data with a developmental lens.
Through group discussions and hands-on tasks, participants will design observation approaches that prioritize objective evidence to promote reflection, professional dialogue, and shared responsibility. The event aims to equip participants with practical tools and a renewed perspective on classroom visits as an impactful catalyst for continuous, data-informed professional development.
