About TESOL Türkiye Membership Professional Council (MPC)

 

Dear TESOL Türkiye Member,

 

The Membership Professional Council (MPC), which consists of a chair and 3 to 5 members who are appointed by the Board of Directors through an application process, supports TESOL Türkiye by maintaining an accurate list of members, registering all members with DERBIS (Dernekler Bilgi Sistemi / Associations’ Information System), and keeping the mailing list of the association up-to-date.

 

Profile of the New Member


The MPC works closely with the Board of Directors and is  primarily responsible for (although other tasks may be assigned by the Board of Directors as needed) (1) keeping the TESOL Turkey and SIG membership excel sheets up-to-date by recording/revising information pertaining to members and dates of membership initiation/renewal and expiration, (2) recording new member information or information of membership renewal in the TESOL Türkiye Member Registration Book, (3) adding new members to the TESOL Türkiye google group, (4) adding new TESOL Türkiye members to DERBIS, (5) sending a list of new members and their emails to the president of TESOL Türkiye so that the welcoming email can be sent, and (6) writing receipts for membership dues received.

 

TESOL Türkiye is now looking for two new MPC members who :

 

  • Are members of TESOL Türkiye in good standing (having paid the membership fee) who has had membership with the association for one year or more;

  • Demonstrate a willingness to work as part of a team;

  • Have computer literacy and strong time management skills;

  • Have experience in data management;

  • Are tech savvy;

  • Have multitasking and problem-solving skills.
