Deriving Lexical Bundles Through Data-Driven Research for Explicit Instruction to Enhance L2 Writing Fluency of English Prep Students
This training session will explore the powerful role of lexical bundles (LBs) in developing the writing fluency of English preparatory program students. Participants will gain hands-on experience with data-driven learning (DDL) tools and methodologies, aiming to bring more authenticity and effectiveness to writing instruction.
By the end of the workshop, participants will be able to:

Understand the significance of lexical bundles (LBs) in enhancing writing fluency

Identify and classify types of LBs frequently used in academic writing

Recognize how data-driven learning (DDL) promotes learner awareness of real-world language use

Utilize corpus tools such as AntConc and Sketch Engine to derive high-frequency, functional LBs

Design and implement explicit classroom activities that integrate LBs into the writing curriculum
