Session Abstract

This workshop will use a fictional accreditation scheme (based around DEDAK, CEA, and EAQUALS standards) to explore how sites going through an accreditation self-study can approach responding to some key standards shared by all accreditation schemes (eg curriculum, student assessment, and planning standards).

Participants will actively engage in various activities based around an extended case study, in which they will identify key issues highlighted by various selected standards in an accreditation self-study and plan necessary changes to become compliant. By the end of the session, participants will be able to analyze particular standards, evaluate a fictional site’s practices by reference to those standards, and plan responses to selected prompts from a self-study template.
