TESOL TURKEY is a national association of ELT professionals committed to advancing the quality of English language teaching by contributing to the sustainable quality of teacher education and in-service professional learning in Turkey through collaboration, open exchange of practice, research, standards, and advocacy in all stages and levels of education.
The Covid-19 pandemic has created the largest educational disruption known so far affecting more than a billion and a half students all around the world (United Nation Organization report, 2020). Even though educators faced new challenges that seemed insurmountable at the beginning of the pandemic, they managed to overcome them and develop learning and teaching solutions that would pave the way for a new digitized pedagogical ‘revolution’. Attempting to find learning solutions in this disruptive period, TESOL Turkey continues to support dedicated educators’ professional development by organizing this educational event.
Therefore, this year’s conference theme has been set as:
“Pedagogical Shifts in Times of Turmoil: Forced Distance Education in ELT”
