For some time now, we have all been working with a new digital generation who are very different from the Millennials before them. These learners – born between 1996 and 2014 – are not only technologically savy, having been born into a world of internet and smartphones, but also independent, self-reliant and confident. Speedy access to unlimited readily available information has produced a generation of learners with outstanding multitasking skills; learners who can process and absorb information within mere seconds and yet possess the shortest attention span ever. Therefore, this year’s conference theme has been set as: “Teaching Generation Z: Passing on the baton from K12 to University”
