Classroom Practice: what's trauma got to do with it?

Abstract:
Considering recent societal events, and other experiences our students may bring with them to the classroom, this webinar will provide an overview of trauma-informed teaching and how it relates to our practice as educators. We will examine what is meant by trauma before investigating the six components of trauma-informed practice and how we can incorporate them into our teaching. At the end of the session, participants will feel more knowledgeable about trauma-informed practice and how to employ trauma-informed strategies in their teaching practice.
